Portage Elementary School in Akron, Ohio

“My daughter did very well at Santrock but since I have had her at Portage she is doing poorly. I have enrolled her in after school tutoring at Portage and since she has been doing tutoring her grades have gotten worse. She comes home in tears from frustration from the tutor not going over what she needs help with. I would not suggest sending your child to this school, try Santrock!”

“I have two girls currently in Portage. I am really happy that we were able to have new staff this year. I think that having new faces helps the kids accept change.It is wonderful that they are willing to help those with special needs.My oldest has made many friends and her list is still growing! The student body here seems to be very helpful and they are always lending a hand if needed. It is nice to know that there are teachers who also teach that we should work together and always try to help someone out if needed.”

“I loved Portage Elementary! I have 2 boys who are 9 and 7. The academic programs at Portage were geared to help the boys suceed! The younger boy had to have extra help with speech, and the teachers made learning fun for him! The administration at Portage is wonderful! Had we not moved over the summer, the boys would still be attending Portage Elementary. We will miss everyone very much!”
