“I think that Hatton Elementary school is a great school in the Akron Schools Cluster. My two older kids went to Hatton and are now both in high school. I now have a younger child at Hatton. The school does a great job of teaching the kids and involving them in activities and programs at the school. There is also fantastic parental involvement at the school. You are never discouraged from attending field trips or programs at the school. They are always asking for volunteers to help read to and tutor the students who need a little 'extra' help. The kids also have art, music, gym and LRC once every week. The teachers really care about the kids. I have teachers that are now teaching my younger child still asking how my older two are doing! They still remember them after 10 years!”

There is a strong sense of community and pride at the school. Academic achievement is stressed.
